Before you go out and talk to everyone you know or have ever met please consider this:-
Nobody that bought a vacuum really wanted a vacuum as such. What they wanted was to have clean carpets.
That tells me, if you want to sell vacuum cleaners, you should talk to people about having clean floors and the benefits associated with clean carpets.
In network marketing people aren’t really looking for a MLM business. They’re looking to find a solution to a need they already have. People are seeking financial freedom, time freedom or lifestyle changes. Successful marketers are concentrating on peoples needs, and not selling their opportunity.
You see most network marketers don’t know how to sell. Which is fine, if you’re focusing on helping people meet a need in their life.
Think about the vacuum cleaner. In the same way, you didn’t get into network marketing because you wanted to be a network marketer all your life. You wanted financial and time freedom and the benefits associated with it. People aren’t banging down your door to join your MLM opportunity, but they certainly can see it as a possible solution to a need they may have.
Your task should be to get your prospects to sell themselves on using your opportunity to meet their need. The best way to do that is to give them useful information, instead of selling your opportunity or products.
Instead of being another salesperson, freely GIVE people help and guidance, which will build TRUST and a RELATIONSHIP with them, which is what network marketing is all about building relationships.
When people view you as someone who wants to help, they will happily come to you when they are ready to buy.
Successful marketers hardly ever use a sales pitch, yet they always have a lot of prospects wanting to join their business or buy their products because successful marketers position themselves as someone that is willing and able to help people meet their particular needs.
This system does not have to be for the MLM industry alone. It works for internet marketers all over the place. How many so called Guru’s are forever offering you the next awesone free download that will just turn your business around.
They all are, and you know what, you get this new beaut download and then because of your faith in what they gave away for free you will listen to their next pitch which is often to get you to buy some item from them. As you loved their free download so much you cannot wait to see what their paid product is like.
It is all about giving percieved value, if you give someone what they want, and focus on what they want you will be building trust with that person. First goal in any selling game is to build trust. This trust and faith in your free product positions you as the EXPERT.
The key then is to stop advertising your opportunity and start marketing your expertise, knowledge and willingness to help the next person.
Always present yourself as someone who can show your lead exactly how to get what they really want. That’s the only reason a prospect will join your opportunity and buy your products.
I hope you can see the difference in this approach, because it will utterly change the way you do business forever.
